Macau’s foreign package tour visitors increased by 522.2 percent to 18,000 in May, with those from South Korea (7,000) and India (4,000) surging by 620.7 percent and 1,662.4 percent, respectively, the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) said in a statement yesterday.
According to the statement, the total number of package tour visitors rose by 187.3 percent year-on-year to 242,000 last month.
The number of package tour visitors reached 928,000 in the first five months, an increase of 225.3 percent year-on-year.
