Firefighters rushed to the scene and found that the flat was ablaze. A total of 30 residents self-evacuated to the ground floor of the building, while 16 residents self-evacuated to the rooftop of the building during the fire, the statement said.

According to the statement, the six who were taken to the hospital comprised three men and three women aged between 10 and 82, and they were all in stable condition. One of them is a Philippine passport holder, while the remainder are Macau residents.
