Mainland online video and streaming service platforms Youku yesterday gave 10 web programmes to local public broadcaster TDM, covering classic films, variety shows and cultural documentaries, which will be broadcast on TDM’s TV channels and multi-media platforms.

The signing ceremony was held yesterday at TDM Forum II Studio in Zape, with TDM Executive Committee President Lorman Lo Song Man and Alibaba Digital Media and Entertainment Group representative Yang Weiguang signing the agreement.

During yesterday’s ceremony, Lo expressed her gratitude on behalf of TDM for the gift, stressing that the present was to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Macau’s return to the motherland, and also to promote exchanges and cooperation among the audiovisual industries in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).

Lo also said that the 10 outstanding online programmes contain the spirit and charm of Chinese culture, which, she said, would be welcome and loved by local residents and international audiences, as well as those in the Pearl River Delta. She also said that there will be more and more comprehensive cooperation and exchanges between TDM and the mainland’s online audiovisual industry.

Yang said in the ceremony yesterday that the mainland’s audiovisual sector will continue to work with TDM and other cultural organisations in Macau to deepen their creative and promotional efforts in the fields of film and TV dramas, short videos and other areas, as well as cultural and tourism cooperation, so as to work together to establish a foothold in the local community and reach out to the world.
