The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) is calling on submissions for its trilingual “Review of Culture” academic journal to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the inscription of the “Historic Centre of Macao”.
The “Historic Centre of Macao” was inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List on July 15, 2005.
According to a recent statement from the bureau, scholars and experts in different areas can submit academic articles written in either Chinese, Portuguese or English. Their themes can be on “Macau’s tangible and intangible cultural heritage, specific case studies of documentary heritage, and theoretical analysis of the concept of heritage from the aspects of Macau’s history, geo-politics and culture”.
Those interested in submitting an article for the IC-published journal can do so until October 30, with those chosen after an anonymous review to be published next year, the statement noted.
