The Transport Bureau (DSAT) has announced that it received 38 bids for 24 vehicle registration plates with special numbers starting with “AC”, with the bids amounting to 3.3 million patacas in total.
According to the bureau, registration plate “AC-88-88” garnered the highest bid, at 528,000 patacas.
A total of 550 vehicle registration plates starting with “AC” were on offer, but only 24 of them were sold, which drew 38 bids, which were unsealed by DSAT officials in a session on Monday.
The bureau made the announcement about Monday’s session in a statement on its WeChat account on Tuesday.
The statement said that those intending to bid for the remaining registration plates with special numbers will be required to submit their sealed bids next Monday.
Vehicle registration plates starting with “AA” and “AB” have been issued over the past few years after all the available “MZ” registration numbers had been issued.
