The Judiciary Police (PJ) said yesterday they suspected that an Indian family of four were involved in a suicide pact in a hotel room in Cotai, in which two of them were found to have died at the scene while the other two were rushed to the public Conde de Sao Januario Hospital Centre (CHCSJ) for emergency treatment.
In a statement, the Judiciary Police identified the two people who died as a 52-year-old man and the couple’s 24-year-old son, and the two people who survived as his 45-year-old wife and their 20-year-old son. They are surnamed Lunawat.
According to the statement, the Fire Services Bureau (CB) informed the Judiciary Police at around 2 p.m. yesterday that three men and a woman had been found unconscious in a hotel room in Avenida Marginal Flor de Lótus in Cotai. Firemen later confirmed that two men had died at the scene, while another man and a woman were rushed to the public hospital for emergency treatment.
