The Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) said in a statement yesterday that earlier this month Macau recorded its highest single-day number of visitor arrivals for July, at 135,575 on July 20.
In annual terms, Macau recorded its highest single-day number of visitor arrivals, 226,326, on February 7, 2019, i.e., the third day of Chinese New Year (CNY) of pre-pandemic 2019.
Yesterday’s statement also said that according to its provisional data, Macau recorded 2.39 million visitor arrivals between July 1 and 25, or a daily average of 95,979, a year-on-year increase of 9.5 percent, returning to 85.6 percent of the same period of 2019.
