Glass fell from a building on Avenida do Nordeste in Areia Preta yesterday, hitting a bus at the bus stop and a male passenger who was getting off the bus, according to a statement by the Fire Services Bureau (CB) yesterday.
The injured is a 22-year-old resident, the statement said, adding that he suffered from a cut to his left ear by pieces of the broken glass and was conscious when he was taken to the private Kiang Wu Hospital.
Firemen suspect that the glass fell from the 5th block of the Hoi Pan Garden Building at around 6 p.m. yesterday, the statement said.
The statement did not point out the size of the fallen glass or whether it was a window pane.
As a result of the incident, traffic was jammed along Avenida do Nordeste.
