It doesn’t need to be St. Patrick’s Day to get into the Irish spirit, as performers will be strutting their stuff with fast hops, crosses, jigs and high kicks to traditional Irish music next week in Riverdance, a show that made Irish step dancing world famous.

Originally an interval act for the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 when the televised competition was held in Dublin, the seven-minute Riverdance show received a standing ovation and was later developed into a full performance that debuted the following year with the score composed by Bill Whelan and produced by John McColgan and Moya Doherty.

The trio is reunited for the world tour to mark the 20th anniversary of Riverdance, which will see the dance sensation make their first appearance in Macau where the cast, led by William Bryant and Lauren Smyth, will perform for a limited run from January 24 to February 5 at the Venetian Theatre.
