The statement said that the increase was mainly due to a rise in the number of non-resident workers (NRWs), informally known as blue-card holders, living in Macau.  Non-resident workers totalled 181,108 at the end of the second quarter, up by 0.9 percent (+1,639) quarter-on-quarter and 9.5 percent (+15,835) year-on-year.
