The six-member Macau delegation for the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, which will open on Wednesday next week, bid farewell to Sports Bureau (ID) Acting President Luís Gomes yesterday, according to a report by public broadcaster TDM.
While Macau is unable to compete in the Olympic Games as it is not a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), it can compete in the Paralympic Games, in the name of “Macao, China”.
According to yesterday’s report, the Macao, China delegation will depart from Macau for Paris tomorrow.
The six-member delegation includes only one athlete, Chio Hao Lei (趙巧莉) who will compete in women’s long jump.
