Whisky Live is set to be hosted at Grand Lisboa Palace (GLP) in Cotai from October 11 to 13, marking the first time that the event will be held in Macau.

Whisky Live in Hong Kong was launched in 2016 and is organised by Whiskey Magazine.

The upcoming three-day Whisky Live Macau 2024, for which details were unveiled during a media preview event at GLP yesterday, is this year organised in partnership with SJM Resorts. There will be over 40 exhibitors showcasing international whiskies and culinary delights throughout the event.

According to a statement provided yesterday, the event will allow attendees to sample “the world’s most popular and rare whiskies”, as well as interact with producers, distillers and whisky experts.

The event venue, the statement said, spans a total of 20,000 square feet (1,858 square metres).

The statement added that over 300 whiskies from distllers from places such as Scotland and Japan will be showcased at the Grand Pavilion.

Meanwhile, live jazz performances by the Ted Lo Quartet and the Dr João Mascarenhas Quartet will also take place.

The cocktail garden, one of the event’s highlights, will be held at GLP’s Jardim Secreto (“Secret Garden”), with the statement adding that it will showcase spirits from places such as the UK, US, Hong Kong and Japan. Special cocktails and DJ performances are also featured.

Masterclasses led by global whiskey experts are also to be held in 14 sessions during the event.
