The Lands and Urban Construction Bureau (DSSCU) said in a statement that its officials, in conjunction with officials from several other government entities, repossessed yesterday an illegally occupied plot of land located on the waterfront next to the Macau Science Centre (MSC) in Nape.
The plot, covering 13,702 square metres, is located next to the roundabout near the Macau Science Centre, and between the Macau Cultural Centre (CCM) and Macau Fisherman’s Wharf complex.
According to the statement, various items had been left on the plot, such as containers, metal supports, and mechanical equipment. In addition, a structure had been set up and vehicles had been parked on the plot, the statement said.
The statement underlined that DSSCU officials had ordered the occupants to clear all the items and return the plot to the government by a specified date.
As the occupants had still not cleared the items and returned the plot to the government after the deadline, the statement said, DSSCU officials, in collaboration with officials from several other government entities, took action and repossessed the plot yesterday.
The statement also said that the plot will be transferred to the relevant public entities to carry out a project, on which the statement did not elaborate.
