A local man has been arrested for drunk driving, Public Security Police (PSP) spokesman Cheong Heon Fan said during a regular press conference yesterday.

Cheong identified the suspect as a male surnamed Lin, who is in his thirties and works as a casino dealer.

According to Cheong, a police officer discovered Lin riding a motorcycle not following the lane markings in Iao Hon district. Lin was intercepted and was found to be reeking of alcohol, and a breathalyser test showed that his alcohol concentration was 1.27 grammes of alcohol per litre of blood.

The suspect has been transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office (MP), facing a drunk-driving charge, Cheong said.

This undated photo provided by the Public Security Police (PSP) yesterday shows a PSP officer escorting the male drunk-driving suspect to a police station in the northern district.
