A non-local woman was defrauded out of 15,240 yuan (17, 091 patacas) in a concert ticket selling scam, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Cheong Kim Fong said in a regular press conference yesterday.
According to Cheong, the victim told the police that she had met a man online in July who was selling concert tickets. She purchased tickets from him and attended a local concert in August.
Later, she attempted to buy three tickets for a concert to be held in Macau for 15,240 yuan. After transferring the money, she never received the tickets and lost contact with the seller, prompting her to report the case to the police on Monday.
