Oktoberfest Macau at MGM 2024 kicked off on Friday at MGM Cotai, with the Bavarian bierfest on until November 5.
According to a Friday statement from integrated resort (IR) operator MGM, this year’s event features a raft of new elements, including authentic Munich snacks and vegetarian dishes. The event also sees the return of the HÖGL FUN BAND from Germany, along with a blue-and-white Bavarian patterned beer tent and traditional long wooden tables, German Oktoberfest brew Löwenbräu (“Lion’s Brew”), traditional Bavarian food and beverages, carnival booth games and waitresses donning dirndl costumes, the statement noted.
The statement quoted MGM China Holdings Limited President and Executive Director Kenneth Feng Xiaofeng as saying: “Throughout the past 13 editions, it [the event] has attracted more than 180,000 residents and tourists, which perfectly manifests the synergy of gastronomy, creativity, culture, festivals and tourism. This year’s Oktoberfest is held for the fourth time at the outdoor venue of MGM COTAI, where locals and visitors can enjoy an innovative experience of cultural diversity prepared elaborately by MGM”.
Feng also highlighted the upcoming third edition of “MGM Chef Nic Gastronomusic Fest”, which is slated to take place on November 30 and December 1 in the same venue.
