The “Collective Journey” exhibition is being held at Creative Macau in Nape until January 4, presenting a total of 100 canvases and celebrating the upcoming “double happiness” anniversaries: the 75th Anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the 25th Anniversary of Macau’s return to the motherland.

The 100 canvases, which symbolise 75+25, were created by 25 of Creative Macau – Centre for Creative Industries’ members, with exhibitiongoers able to view works created through different mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and poetry. The exhibition kicked-off with an opening ceremony last week, with the event attended by several of the exhibiting artists.

The artists, according to a statement from the centre provided last week, were invited to present works that “convey their gratitude and joy, as well as their love for the country and Macau” at the exhibition.

The exhibition also aims to showcase the city’s “distinctive artistic style” and reflects on its creative industries’ development over the past quarter of a century.

The free-admission gallery is located on the ground floor of the Macau Cultural Centre (CCM). It is open from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. from Mondays to Saturdays and closed on public holidays.
