Macau's general unemployment rate, which comprises residents and non-resident workers (NRWs), decreased by 0.9 percentage points year on year to 1.8 percent last year, the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) has announced.
According to a DSEC statement this week, residents' jobless rate fell by 1.0 percentage points year on year to 2.4 percent in 2024.
The median monthly employment earnings of the employed population in general and the employed residents in particular amounted to 18,000 patacas (US$2,240) and 20,500 patacas respectively, both up by 500 patacas year on year.
