Nova Mall, Pop Mart launch CNY campaign

The “Let’s Celebrate Chinese New Year [CNY] with POP MART at NOVA Mall” has recently been launched in the Taipa shopping, dining and entertainment centre, with its Atrium currently featuring a pop-up store and photo spots for the CNY-themed “POP into Prosperity” joint campaign that runs until March 2.

The Hong Kong-listed mainland Chinese toy company, according to its website, has seven shops in Macau, most of which are located within the city’s integrated resorts (IR). The website notes that they have over 500 physical stores in more than 30 countries and regions, with Wikipedia noting that the company is known for selling collectable designer toys, often sold in a “blind box” format.

According to a recent statement from the mall, a six-metre-MOLLY inflatable along with eight beloved Pop Mart characters are currently displayed at the Atrium, along with the POP BEAN Lucky Tree.

Moreover, the “POP BEAN New Year Sitting Series” had made its exclusive Macau debut last month at the pop-up, followed by the launch of the “POP BEAN Classic Azulejo* Set (Macau Edition)”. The third round in the exclusive series of three surprises is set to be launched in due course, with more details to be announced on both the mall’s and POP MART’s Facebook accounts.

Nova Mall General Manager Paul Lee Yan Kwong was quoted by the statement as saying: “Through these activities, we aim to create a memorable experience for everyone and established NOVA Mall as a popular destination to celebrate the festive spirit”. 

*“Azulejo” is the Portuguese word for “tile”.
