The Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau (SAFP) said in a statement yesterday that as of Sunday, of the 162,000 assistance recipients who have completed their proof of life this year, 142,000, or 87.8 percent of them, completed the process electronically.

Specifically, 98,000 used the “Macao One Account”, accounting for 69.1 percent of the electronic submissions, representing an increase of 9,000 compared to 89,000 who used the “Macao One Account” during the same period last year.

The statement noted that the 10 percent increase in the “Macao One Account” usage underscored the popularisation of the online processing of proof of life, effectively promoting senior citizens’ awareness and use of electronic services.

The statement added that the “Macao One Account” has integrated commonly-used services for the elderly. Those who have not yet applied for their pension payments and allowances, including old-age pensions and disability pensions, can opt to use the “Macao One Account” to handle the procedures.
