The findings of a survey conducted by the Healthy Macau Association show that local residents are unaware of the importance of protecting their hearing, with only 24 percent of the survey’s respondents having undergone hearing tests.

The findings of the survey were announced yesterday during a press conference co-hosted by the association’s Director General Virginia Kong Wai Sum and Deputy Director General Gloria Sio Un Teng, at the association’s office in the city centre.

The survey was conducted in online and written questionnaires in January and February, and 513 respondents answered.
