800 CCTV cameras to be installed by 2020: police

Unitary Police Service (SPU) Commissioner-General Ma Io Kun said yesterday he expected the installation of 800 closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in the “fourth phase” to be completed in 2020.

Ma made the remarks while speaking to reporters yesterday on the sidelines of a community day hosted by the Public Security Police (PSP) in Praça do Tap Seac.

The event was to mark the 326th anniversary of the establishment of the police force on March 14, 1691.
