The Public Security Police (PSP) arrested a local Portuguese man on Monday on suspicion of stealing a bike owned by a local student which had been parked on the campus of the University of Macau (UM) in late 2015, PSP spokesman Fong Cheong Chun said during a regular press briefing yesterday.

Fong identified the suspect as a 33-year-old surnamed Cruzinha working as a ground crew at the airport, and the student as a 20-year-old male surnamed Leong.

According to Fong, Leong reported to the police in December 2015 that his bike parked on the UM campus on Hengqin Island had vanished. Leong told the police his bike was valued at 13,000 patacas.
