The Legislative Assembly Electoral Affairs Committee (CAEAL) is urging the local media to report “fairly” on the upcoming legislative election campaign and to set up internal regulations on campaign coverage, CAEAL President Tong Hio Fong said yesterday.

In a written statement, the committee also announced the setting-up of a hotline and dedicated email address for the media for any queries journalists may have about the election process.

The legislative direct and indirect elections are slated to be held in September.
