The three-day 2025 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition (2025MIECF) ended on Saturday, with a MIECF statement yesterday noting that nearly 450 business matching sessions were held while over 50 project agreements were signed during the Protocol Signing Ceremony.
The statement added that eight enterprises had established their presence in the Macau market during the exhibition, which was held at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo and themed “Innovation and Green Development – Solutions to Build Beautiful Cities”.
This year’s event, the statement said, drew close to 400 domestic and international enterprises, including over 60 international exhibitors, while there were also over 40 listed enterprises showcasing exhibits.
Noting examples of first-time exhibitors in Macau who were satisfied with the event, the statement noted that a Hong Kong-based technology enterprise had a “successful discussion” with Macau professional organisations and local and overseas traders, while a Spanish supplier of organic agricultural products signed letters of intent with large wholesalers, hotels and different entities and planned to set up a branch in Macau.
A Brazilian exhibitor also commented on Macau’s “excellent MICE facilities and attentive arrangements” that enabled them to get a timely response to their needs for seeking partnership, while the various concurrent events provided “unlimited business opportunities”, the statement said.
The event saw roadshows for nine key debut projects that presented new biodegradable materials, liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging technology, self-driving electric yachts, and smart energy management, among other cutting-edge technologies, according to the statement. The event also featured three Green Forum sessions that gathered over 30 international experts and scholars
Meanwhile, four “multi-venue” events were hosted and had around 130 participants visiting the Guangdong-Macau In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin and elsewhere in Zhuhai for business inspections, the statement said.
