Registration opened yesterday for the Macao Post & Telecommunication Bureau’s (CTT) one-day “Web, Application and Mini Program Accessibility Workshop (2025)” slated for June 7, with those interested and aged at least 16 invited to participate.
With 50 slots available, a CTT statement yesterday noted that the upcoming free-of-charge activity is geared towards raising awareness of the programme and encourage all community sectors to follow the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines*”2.2 AA-level standard, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)”.
The workshop will cover topics such as introduction to accessible design, useful tools for accessible design, and key elements for accessible web pages and apps, according to activity details.
Those interested may sign up until April 25 on the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre (CPTTM) webpage on https://events.cpttm.org.mo/seminar/406

*The “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines” (WCAG) are “a set of international standards aimed at making web content more accessible to people with disabilities”. The AA-level conformance means that the web content meets a specific set of criteria outlined in WCAG that provides a moderate level of accessibility.
