Visitor arrivals during Easter holiday up 28.1 pct: police

Macau recorded 520,000 visitor arrivals during the four-day Easter holiday period from Friday to Monday, an increase of 28.1 percent from last year’s corresponding period, the Public Security Police (PSP) said in a statement yesterday.

According to the statement, visitors from the mainland accounted for 62.9 percent of the total during the period, while visitors from Hong Kong made up 28 percent of the total.

The statement said that foreign visitors accounted for about seven percent of the total.
