The Civic Education Resources Centre of the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) announced in a statement yesterday that in order to celebrate International Children’s Day on June 1, it will organise a raft of activities for kids.
From May 31 to June 2, for three consecutive days, children aged three to six can drive kiddie cars free of charge in Montanha Russa Park in Mong Ha district and Chunambeiro Park in Sai Van district under parental supervision, while children aged 12 or below can ride the Guia Cable Car for free. Parents are welcome to join their children in the celebrations.
According to the statement, the activities on June 1 at the Civic Education Resource Centre on the fourth floor of Iao Hon Market will include puppet shows, colouring activities, and booth games. Residents can register through the “Macao One Account” app, while the booth games are open to walk-in participants.
The statement added that the bureau is collaborating with schools and organisations to arrange activities aimed at deepening children’s sense of identity and belonging to Macau, encouraging them to actively engage in community life and take an interest in civic affairs.
