The Macau Fashion Heritage Exhibition is showcasing the works of close to 20 fashion designers, with exhibitiongoers able to view the works until tomorrow.

The exhibition is being held at rooms C01 and C02 of the 10 Fantasia Gallery on Calçada da Igreja de S. Lázaro (瘋堂斜巷). It showcases the works of a total of 16 fashion designers, with exhibits ranging from dresses to various accessories.

According to a recent statement from the gallery, the featured works on display comprise those made by emerging fashion designers along with pieces by their experienced industry mentors.

The statement said that the exhibition shows 12 fashion pieces created by the emerging designers, pointing out that these showcase “innovation and modern styles”, while the mentors are presenting their past works and traditional crafts. The exhibition’s hand-made accessories, meanwhile, are showcased by two invited designers.

It is hoped that the exhibition will “promote the development of the fashion industry and integrate aesthetics into daily life”, according to the statement.

Aside from the exhibition, the statement said that two discussion sessions were held at 10 Fantasia gallery’s outdoor venue, noting that the first session tackled themes related to the development and trends of fashion designers in Hong Kong and Macau, while the second explored heritage and future.

The last day to view the exhibition is tomorrow and interested exhibitiongoers may visit it from between 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free.
