The highlight of the first day of yesterday’s 16th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum (IIICF) and Exhibition was the “Premiere@Macau – Launch Ceremony of Innovative Achievements in International Infrastructure” at Hall D of The Venetian Macao Cotai Expo, highlighting the debuts of 30 innovative technologies and product projects in Macau, including eight global debuts, which are the most ground-breaking, exemplary, and leading in the industry, according to a statement by the co-organisers.
The three-day forum, co-organised by the Macau Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the China International Contractors Association (CHINCA), will end tomorrow.
IPIM President Vincent U U Sang said in his speech that this year’s launch ceremony focused on innovative solutions, featuring the debut of 30 technologies and products, including eight world premieres, aiming to showcase innovations such as smart construction, digital intelligence technologies, new materials, and low-carbon sectors. U said the objective was to raise industry innovation and advance international infrastructure cooperation to new heights by highlighting cutting-edge technologies, products, achievements, and solutions.
Beijing Midea Overseas Engineering & Technology Company Limited Senior Solution Architect Tony Song Yingqian told reporters that the launch of a prefabricated high-efficiency refrigeration system, boasting a raft of characteristics such as high efficiency, could be widely applied in various commercial systems and industrial buildings.
Song noted that the reason for choosing to launch his company’s product in Macau was because he wanted to connect with some overseas customers, pointing out that this is the eighth time his company has participated the forum.
Song noted that the forum’s exhibition offers a “very good window” where the overall gains are relatively large. He also said that thanks to the local event his company’s reputation could be further expanded, and customers would gain a better understanding of the performance of his company’s products, including some their application scenarios.
The forum’s formal opening ceremony will be held this morning.
