Sands Gallery has unveiled a collateral exhibition entitled “Beyond the Frame: International Contemporary Masterpiece” as part of Art Macao: International Art Biennale 2025 (commonly known as “Art Macao 2025”), featuring six acclaimed artists, according to a Sands Gallery statement.

The exhibition, which opened on Tuesday, explores how artistic boundaries are redefined through immersive and thought-provoking works across various media, the statement said.

“Beyond the Frame” brings together six renowned artists – Song Zhou, Bibi Lei, Jun Oson, GRAFFLEX, Ilya Milstein, and Jonni Cheatwood – to challenge traditional artistic boundaries through diverse media. The statement added that the exhibition features over 60 works, from paintings and sculptures to installations and mixed-media pieces, inviting audiences to engage directly with the visual language of contemporary art.

Sands Gallery has continuously met its role as a platform for “exchange, mutual inspiration, and elevation”, the statement noted, emphasising visual experimentation that transcends materiality, space, and cultural narratives to forge new artistic frontiers while retaining deeply personal creative realms.

The exhibition opened on Tuesday, inviting exhibitiongoers between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to Sands Gallery, Level 6, The Grand Suites at Four Seasons, in Cotai. With free admission through October 15, the exhibition aims to reinforce Macau’s role as a cosmopolitan hub of contemporary art and international creative exchange.
