Local content creators have a chance to become ambassadors for this October’s “CreatorWeek Macao 2025”, the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) said in a statement yesterday, adding that the recruitment programme starts today and runs through September 12.
First held in Singapore last year, this edition is slated to be held from October 24 to 28 and will invite 180 influencers from the Chinese mainland and around the world, along with industry leaders from social media platforms and celebrity guests.
The upcoming event, according to the statement, is organised in conjunction with international media company Branded and will also include Macau’s six integrated resort operators as well as community tourism resources in inviting the content creators, the statement said.
The statement noted that applicants must be Macau ID holders aged at least 18, as well as own at least one personal social media account. To apply, one can submit an original video narrated in English themed “One Day in Macao” that introduces a self-designed travel itinerary in no more than three minutes. More details can be found on www.cwmacao2025-ambassador.com .
Twenty outstanding participants will be chosen to “co-create exclusive, tailor-made offline experience itineraries alongside top influencers from both the Chinese mainland and around the world”, the MGTO statement. Moreover, applicants may also learn the top influencers’ creative concepts, content production and fanbase building techniques, according to the statement. Summits, creator forums and cross-industry collaborations are among other activities also slated to be held.
