The Macao Union Hospital announced in a recent statement that online registration is now open for the “2nd Academic Week of the Islands Healthcare Complex – Macao Medical Centre of Peking Union Medical College Hospital”, which is slated to be held on September 27 and 28 with forums for 15 categories of health professionals.
The Macao Union Hospital in Cotai is officially known as Islands Healthcare Complex – Macao Medical Centre of Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH). It is operated by PUMCH in collaboration with the local government.
According to the statement, the academic week will bring together hospital directors and scholars from the Chinese mainland and abroad. A total of 10 thematic forums will cover areas such as pancreatic diseases, rare diseases, clinical diagnosis, nursing, and the development of the big health industry, the statement noted, adding that the event will adopt various formats including keynote speeches, case sharing, and panel discussions to promote technological innovation and clinical research in Macau’s medical field.
PUMCH said in the statement that the programme is aligned with the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programme for 15 categories of health professionals, including doctors, nurses, dentists, Chinese medicine practitioners, pharmacists, therapists, and other trainees in Macau.
Registration is available at http://www.mci.com.mo/#/sign-up/17 with over 1,500 places offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and a QR code will be issued as the entry pass upon successful registration.
