The Macau Cultural Heritage Reinventing Studies Association announced in a recent statement that it will launch a mooncake-making workshop on September 28, aiming to give participants a chance to experience traditional craftsmanship and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival in a hands-on way.
According to the statement, the workshop aims to allow residents to “feel the charm of centuries-old craftsmanship” while celebrating the festival with family and friends.
The upcoming workshop, titled “Traditional Mooncake Workshop”, will be held at the Vocational Technical Education Activity Centre in Seac Pai Van, Coloane, and will be divided into two sessions, the statement said, adding that the workshop will be limited to 15 participants per session, open to anyone aged 10 and above.
The sessions will run from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on September 28.
The registration fee is 30 patacas for association members and 60 patacas for non-association members, with the option for non-members to join as annual members at 50 patacas to enjoy a discounted rate, the statement said, adding that registration can be made online via https://forms.gle/F3dEAJc7zdUGApaH9.
