The Livelihood Affairs Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin announced in a statement yesterday that it will host a three-day event titled “HENGQIN MUSIC AND LIGHT SHOW,” starting next Friday.
The three-day event will be held between October 17 and October 19, between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m., on the lawn on the north side of Hengqin International Financial Centre, the statement said.
According to the statement, the event aims to provide a complimentary immersive audiovisual spectacle for the residents of both Hengqin and Macau.
The statement pointed out that the event will deploy 2,000 drones painting a flowing canvas of light across the night sky, combined with dazzling lighting and immersive surround sound, vividly showcasing the vitality and charm of Hengqin’s new cultural identity, the statement said.
The statement highlighted that the event will feature a lineup of famous singers and bands, including Hong Kong actress and singer Jinny Ng Yeuk Hei (吳若希), folk band Sir Deer from the Chinese mainland, and vocalist Momo Wu Mochou, who is from the Chinese mainland as well. They will take to the stage one by one.
The statement underlined that the event venue will also feature over 40 food and cultural creative stalls, featuring Cantonese and Macanese snacks, along with chilled beverages. The event’s cultural and creative products aim to “offer a dual feast for both the eyes and the taste buds all at once”, the statement said.
Free reservations for the event can be made through the “横琴文体通” WeChat mini-programme. The reservation channel will officially open at noon today and will close as soon as all available spots are filled.
