University of Macau (UM) ranks 145th globally: THE

The public University of Macau (UM) placed 145^th  in the World University Rankings 2026 released by Times Higher Education yesterday. 

Times Higher Education (THE) is a British magazine reporting specifically on news and issues related to higher education.

According to the magazine’s website https://www.timeshighereducation.com/, UM’s global position in 2025 was 180^th, while it stood at 34^th in the Asia Rankings 2025. 

Meanwhile, the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) is ranked somewhere between 251^st-300^th in the World University Rankings 2026, whereas City University of Macau (CityU) is placed somewhere between 601^st-800^th, according to the website. 

MUST’s rank remained unchanged from the one listed in the World University Rankings 2025, the website said.

Moreover, the website added that MUST is ranked 57^th in the Asia Rankings 2025.
