According to a Saturday statement provided by the Sports Bureau (ID), the 72nd Macau Grand Prix Family Carnival took place in Praça do Tap Siac over the weekend, aiming to attract residents and visitors alike to experience the atmosphere of the upcoming 72nd Macau Grand Prix, slated to take place from November 13 to 16.
The carnival featured a miniature Guia Circuit, a mini race track, and a series of interactive experiences, allowing children to step into the roles of mini racing drivers and race officials, the statement said, adding that visitors also explored exhibits highlighting the behind-the-scenes work of the Grand Prix and collected themed souvenirs.
The event also featured several motor racing simulation activities, including the Mini Guia Circuit, Outstanding Drivers Training Centre, Official Timing, Race Control, and Fire Elite, among others, the statement noted.
Meanwhile, in order to celebrate the upcoming 15th National Games and the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities (NGD) and 9th National Special Olympics Games (NSOG), this year’s carnival integrated Games-themed photo booths and mascot performances, the statement underlined.
The Family Carnival ended on Sunday night. The statement pointed out that the Grand Prix Organising Committee (MGPOC) will continue its lineup of community events, including an Auto Show in Praça do Tap Siac this weekend.
