Woman burnt in fire caused by short circuit

A 63-year-old Hong Kong woman was injured in a fire at her flat in Rua de Nossa Senhora do Amparo early yesterday morning, according to a spokesperson for the Fire Services Bureau (CB).

According to the spokesperson, the bureau received a report at about 6 a.m. that a flat in the building, with Yu Seng Tailor Company on the ground floor, was on fire.

Arriving at the scene, firefighters found that a flat on the top floor of the three-storey building was on fire, according to the spokesperson. The firefighters rescued a woman who was shouting for help in the flat, and extinguished the flames.
