Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Alexis Tam Chon Weng said yesterday that the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) was the only entity under his portfolio which had hired staff illegally through acquisition of services (AoS) contracts.
Tam made the remarks on the sidelines of the 36th Student Chinese Calligraphy Competition at Hou Kong Middle School.The bureau was revealed to have employed a large number of staff through illegal procedures in a report released by the Commission Against Corruption (CCAC) last month.
