Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) President Leung Hio Ming said yesterday his bureau would discontinue within a year the employment of 82 staff members who were hired on acquisition of services (AoS) contracts by the bureau.

“About three quarters of the staff involved will be laid off between June and September,” said Leung, pointing out that the bureau would need a transition period for human resources and work arrangements.

Leung made the remarks during a special press conference at the bureau’s headquarters in Praça do Tap Seac.
