The Macao Orchestra (OM) announced in a Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) statement yesterday that the United States’ string trio “Time for Three” will make their Macau debut at the “Starry Symphony” concert on Sunday at the Macau Cultural Centre’s (CCM) Grand Auditorium.

Co-organised by the bureau, Macao Orchestra Company, Limited, and integrated resort operator Sands China, the concert forms part of the Sands China Performing Arts Programme, according to the statement, pointing out that tickets are already on sale through the Macau Ticketing Network.

Time for Three – violinists Nicolas Kendall and Charles Yang, and double bassist Ranaan Meyer – are known for blending classical music with bluegrass, Americana, and popular singer-songwriter styles, the statement said.

Their cross-genre approach has earned wide acclaim, including an Emmy Award for “Time for Three in Concert” and a Grammy for their album “Letters for the Future” in the category of “Best Classical Instrumental Solo.” For their Macau debut, the trio will perform a mix of classical works, Americana pieces, and popular music, with several numbers featuring their own vocals.

The statement said that the programme aims to offer audiences “an exceptional musical experience.” The concert will run for about 1 hour and 30 minutes with an interval, with tickets priced at 150, 200, 250, and 300 patacas via https://www.macauticket.com/ .

Details about the Macao Orchestra’s 2025–26 Concert Season and its digital booklet are available on the orchestra’s website (www.om-macau.org).
