Consumer Council (CC) Executive Committee President Wong Hon Neng said yesterday he hoped a new code of practice for certified mobile phone retailers could be released within this year.
Wong made the remarks on the sidelines of the signing ceremony of a co-operation agreement between the local and Gansu province’s consumer councils at the CC headquarters in Avenida de Horta e Costa.According to a statement released by the council on April 12, the Macau Mobile Phone Retailers Union has removed its commitment to exchange products for customers within seven days of purchase, which the union had offered to do since 2005.
