The Marine and Water Bureau (DSAMA) launched a four-month-long online prize game yesterday.
According to a statement by the bureau, in order to encourage residents to appreciate the importance of water and raise awareness of water conservation, the bureau decided to launch an online prize-giving quiz, called “Ensure the Safety of Water”.
The statement said that the initiative aims to educate the public on water supply safety and the application of reclaimed water in an engaging and accessible manner.
Reclaimed water is wastewater that has been treated to remove impurities and made suitable for reuse.
According to the statement, the activity will be conducted in four phases until March 27 next year, with each phase lasting around one month.
After each phase, the statement said, 100 winners will be drawn, each receiving a 100-pataca supermarket voucher. Additionally, a grand prize draw will select 20 winners, each to be awarded a 1,000-pataca supermarket voucher, according to the statement.
More details are available on the bureau’s WeChat official account.

The statement said that residents can visit the website https://iam-petgames.ad-on.mo or scan the activity QR code to access the game. By completing the quiz, answering its questions correctly, and providing a local contact phone number, participants become eligible for a lucky draw, the statement said.
Prizes, according to the statement, are tiered based on the cumulative number of badges earned, with multiple prize categories available. Prizes include 40 items in total, such as 5,000-pataca supermarket shopping vouchers, gaming consoles, wet and dry vacuum cleaners, multi-function air-fryer, insulated electric kettles and shopping vouchers for other kinds of shops, the statement said.
The winner list will be announced in the middle or by the end of this month on the IAM Animal Inspection and Control Division’s website https://www.iam.gov.mo/canil, and winners will be notified via SMS regarding prize collection, the statement said.
