A total of 180 artworks by members of the Macau Artist Society* (MAS) are presenting their works at The Parisian Macao in Cotai, showcasing their creativity, variety of styles and artforms across six venues until March 27.
Gallerygoers visiting the ongoing “The Exhibition of Artworks of The Members of Macau Arist Society 2025” at the integrated resort will be able to find works ranging from oils, acrylics and calligraphy to installations and mixed media. All these exhibits are displayed in Shops 3303, 3305a, 3305b, 3305c, 3306, and 3320.
The venues are located on Level 3 of Shoppes at Parisian, each providing a different setting and atmosphere for members of the public to explore as they move from one venue to the other.
The participating 180 artists each tackle various themes shown in the many pieces on display using their art styles and preferred medium. The artworks include everything from creative portraits and work featuring Macau’s architecture and characteristics to dream-like pieces.
Altogether, they are presenting the diversity and vitality of Macau’s art scene, noted an event emcee during Monday’s opening ceremony for the over four-month long exhibition. Moreover, the participating artists reflect Macau’s “unique artistic ecology born from the fusion of Chinese and Western cultures”, according to a statement provided at the event.
The annual showcase also continues its core objective, which, MAS President Lok Hei said during his speech on Monday, is the aim to create a professional platform for member artists to showcase their creative achievements, while allowing everyone to explore Macau’s rich artistic landscape, fostering dialogue and exchange between the arts and the community.
With this in mind, members of the public are therefore invited to experience the “diverse charms of Macau’s art and witness the wonderful presentation of this annual artistic event”, noted the exhibition statement provided on Monday.
The Macao Cultural Development Fund-sponsored exhibition is organised by MAS, with integrated resort operator Sands China being the venue sponsor. This year marks the first time that MAS’s annual showcase of its members’ works is held at The Parisian Macao.
Members of the public may admire the exhibits daily from noon through 7 p.m. throughout its run.
*The Macau Artist Society, according to their website, was founded in 1956 and has consistently promoted patriotism, local artistic development, and aesthetic education over its sixty-plus years of history. It has become one of the largest and oldest art organisations in Macau.
