2025 Macau Int’l Kart Grand Prix starts today

The 2025 Macau International Kart Grand Prix will start its nine-day run today at the Coloane Karting Track, with around 330 drivers from 28 countries and regions competing, the Sports Bureau (ID) said in a statement yesterday.

The karting event, free-admission for members of the public, is split into two weeks, running first from today through Sunday, and again from next Wednesday through next Sunday.

The races in the first week comprise the 2025 ROK Cup Asia Final (MINI ROK, ROK Junior, ROK Senior, ROK Expert) and the AAMC Karting Championship (KZ Round 8, AAMC Cup, Sands Cup). In the second week, the IAME Asia Final (Cadet, Junior, Senior, Master) will be held.

Racers are competing from the Chinese mainland, Macau, Hong Kong and Chinese Taipei; Andorra, Australia, Canada, Czechia, France, Finland, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Spain, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the UK, and US.

The karting event is organised by the bureau, the Automobile General Association Macao-China (AAMC), OTK Kart Asia and IAME Asia. It is sponsored by integrated resort operator Sands China.
