Guest speakers and members of the audience at yesterday’s Macau Forum urged the government to provide non-local workers with stronger support, including emotional support, such as to those who are pregnant.
The weekly open-air debate is hosted by government-owned broadcaster TDM in Areia Preta Park every Sunday.Yesterday’s focus of the forum was on whether the government provides non-resident workers with sufficient support and whether the government properly regulates the employment of such workers, in the wake of the arrests of a Philippine man and an Indonesian woman for dumping their newborn in a pile of rubbish last week.
