Govt ‘vehemently’ rejects EU report

The local government said in a statement on Friday that it “vehemently rejects” an annual report by the European Union on Macau.

According to the statement, the report released by the European Commission and the European External Action earlier last week contains “irresponsible remarks that do not conform to the fact.” The statement also said that the report was interfering in the nation’s internal affairs.

The statement by the local government came a day after the Foreign Ministry urged the EU to stop interfering in Hong Kong and Macau affairs through the reports.
