The Macau Consumer Council (CCM) announced in a statement yesterday that, as last year, it will organise an online lucky draw rewards programme again this year, with the aim of enhancing consumers’ awareness of their rights.
According to the statement, through the online lucky draw, titled “Points exchange programme for rewards”, participants can earn and accumulate points for the rewards through daily check-ins, sharing with friends, watching short videos, and other ways, and those who follow the programme’s official WeChat account can receive up to 20 points per quarter.
The statement said that the accumulated points, once again, can be exchanged for gifts from the council or used to enter the final lucky draw with 50 points per entry. Prizes include tablets, photography equipment, smartwatches, and other products, the statement said.
For details such as the programme’s terms, rules, and the points required for gift redemption, people can scan the QR code of the rewards programme to access all the information needed to join the programme, the statement said.
During the previous rewards programme launched in June, which ran for two quarters, the statement noted, the number of participants exceeded 460,000 registrations.
As last year, the ongoing programme aims to encourage both residents and tourists to access information on consumer rights and protection, the statement said.
Through various ways such as learning games, is seeks to strengthen consumers’ awareness of their rights and promote the latest developments concerning the Consumer Council and its “Certified Shop” Scheme.
The year-long lucky draw rewards scheme began on New Year’s Day last week and will conclude on New Year’s Eve at the end of this year, according to the statement, which underlined that the rewards scheme is divided into four phases, one per quarter, with 100 winners drawn in each phase.
