The Social Affairs Bureau (IAS) will link up with 38 community associations and local charity organisations to hold the 2017 Happy Family Month activity to promote familial harmony and reach out to families potentially in need, Tang Yuk Wa, who heads the bureau’s Family and Community Services, said yesterday.
Addressing a press conference at the bureau’s Healthy Life Education Centre in Areia Preta, Tang said a string of informative and parent-child activities will be held from this week to next month, as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Children’s Day are observed during the period.The events will be held in six districts in the city, namely Toi San, Ilha Verde, central district, southern district, Taipa and Coloane, according to Tang.
