Winners announced for student drawing, photo & AI art contests of 33rd Macao Int’l Fireworks Display Contest

The Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) announced in a statement yesterday the list of awardees for its Student Drawing Contest, Photo Contest and AI Generative Art Contest held in conjunction with the 33rd Macao International Fireworks Display Contest, with a total of 104 winning works selected from over 2,600 entries. 

Organised by MGTO, the 33rd Macao International Fireworks Display Contest was held in September and October last year. It featured three outreach activities aimed at encouraging public participation and creativity.

According to the statement, the Student Drawing Contest, Photo Contest and AI Generative Art Contest attracted strong interest from students, photography enthusiasts and AI creators, receiving a total of 2,635 entries. 

A total of 1,567 participants took part in the three competitions, reflecting a high level of public engagement, the statement said, adding that the entries comprised 812 student drawings, 1,175 photographs and 648 AI-generated artworks.

After professional evaluation based on the criteria of each category, 104 works were selected for first, second, third and merit awards, the statement said.

For the Student Drawing Contest, Category A (ages 6–10) awards went to Choi Chi Tong, Ma Chi Cheng and Leong Seong Tin. In Category B (ages 11–14), the winners were Chan Mei I, Chiang Hei Lam and Sam U Chin, while Category C (ages 15–18) awards were presented to Chan Cheok Lam, Mai Shao Man and Yin Weng. Category D (aged 19 or above) winners were Lei Meng Hin, Kuok Wai Kei and Lam Sam Chi. 

In the Photo Contest, Jiang Junshen, Zeng Chi Fong and Leong Un Hei won the top three prizes in the Youth Category, while Zheng Xu Qiang, Wong Meng Kin and Lou Cheok Weng received the top awards in the Public Category. 

For the AI Generative Art Contest, Chailyn, Wu Jinting and Xu Shuqi were awarded first, second and third prizes in the Youth Category, while Keong Fei Fei, Fung Chi Ian and Li Kaixin won the top prizes in the Public Category. 

Merit awards were also presented across all categories, the statement said, adding that the competitions were jointly organised with the Macau Artist Society (MAS), Photographic Society of Macao (PSM), and the Association of Advertising Agents of Macao (AAAM), with representatives from all four entities forming the judging panel.
